Understanding fabric cleaning codes is actually quite simple and will keep your furniture looking as new as the day it arrived. All of our fabrics can either be cleaned with a water or solvent-based cleaning solution. Please note, unless otherwise specified, our cushion covers are not machine washable. Doing so will immediately void the product warranty and any applicable protection plan to the product.

Think of your leather furniture as an investment in luxe style for years to come - a little maintenance and care is needed to help preserve the beauty of your furniture. We only use top grain hides, which is the strongest, most valued part of the hide. Its softness, grain, and ability to show natural character make it perfect for upholstered use. Don’t worry, leather is one of the easiest materials to look after - it’s naturally durable and grows more beautiful with age and use!

Remember, real leather is a natural product, and will age as such. Leather will develop wrinkles and creases within a few weeks of use - this is normal, and not a cause for concern. Just like a pair of new, stiff leather shoes, your sofa will need some time to “break in”. Leather is naturally elastic, and can show signs of wear over the years, but this only enriches the leather’s character and individuality over time.

Dust your furniture regularly with a soft, dry, untreated cloth. Moisture and heat can damage any wood finish so it’s important to protect your furniture by using coasters. Always wipe up moisture promptly and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid dragging sharp or rough objects across the surface of your wood furniture. Use felt pads, trivets, coasters and placemats when possible. Gently clean any spills with a soft, damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

Teakwood has a naturally high oil content, which makes it durable and resistant to changes in climate - perfect for outdoor pieces! Aside from occasional cleaning, you don't need to do any type of special maintenance to keep your teak pieces in tip-top shape. To clean your teak pieces, wet the wood thoroughly to soften the surface. Light dirt can be washed off with water and mild detergent. If the wood grain appears to stand up a bit after cleaning, lightly sand down the surface with fine sandpaper. For spills that contain colorants (wine, soda, coffee, etc.) it is best to clean immediately with mild detergent and water. Let your furniture dry for a day, and apply teak oil if needed. Though teak can withstand the cold, to extend the life of your furniture, we recommend storing it in a shed or garage during the winter months when it's not in use.

Travertine and marble are a porous material that is cut, machined, and polished. Each piece has unique characteristics that affect the appearance, color, and polishing qualities. These are not flaws, but the natural beauty and individuality of the stone.

These surfaces have no top coating and are permeable. The stone is naturally enhanced from polishing and typically can be cleaned with mineral spirits or ammonia and water. Take care not to scratch, knock, chip, or drop these pieces. Use coasters when serving food or drinks and if spill does occur quickly wipe dry. Avoid contact with glass cleaners, lemon, vinegar, alcohol, acids, and oil products. Finally these products are not intended for outdoor use.
